About

Where Medicine Meets Innovation

BIONEXA stands for Biomedical Innovation & Next-Generation Engineering Expo and Association. It is a platform designed to encourage students to develop logical, analytical, and critical thinking skills through various technical and non-technical events. The symposium aims to promote innovation, creativity, and knowledge sharing among students. Although it is organized under the biomedical engineering domain, BIONEXA welcomes ideas and participation from broader engineering and interdisciplinary fields. It provides an opportunity for students to showcase their talents, explore new concepts, and connect with emerging technologies.

INNOVATEX
TIME: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Project Demonstration) is an event where participants showcase their working projects. Each team should consist of 2–3 members. The project must be set up at the assigned venue and presented in person. At least one team member must always be present to explain the project to the evaluators and visitors. Projects from all domains are accepted, and teams will be evaluated based on the working model and its functionality. However, models presented in the Paper Presentation (IDEA XPRESS) must not be displayed here, and if repeated, the team will be disqualified.
TECH TALK
TIME: 02:00 PM - 03:00 PM (Tech Talk) is a solo event that tests participants’ technical knowledge and communication skills. A situation or topic will be given on the spot, and the participant must speak about it confidently. The jury may ask cross-questions to evaluate the participant’s understanding and clarity of thought. This round encourages critical thinking, spontaneous speaking, and the ability to present ideas effectively.
LOGIC LEAGUE
TIME: 02:00 PM - 03:00 PM (Tech Quiz) is a team-based event where each team should consist of 2–3 members. The competition will have three rounds to test participants’ technical knowledge and teamwork. In the first round, teams will complete a paper test with 15 questions within 10 minutes. The second round involves a word-guessing activity, where one team member will be given a word and the remaining members must identify it. The final round will be a rapid-fire round, where teams must answer questions quickly and accurately.

Non-Technical Events

MYSTERY MATRIX
TIME: 11:00 AM - 03:00 PM (Escape Room) is a team-based event where 2–3 members are allowed per team. The competition will consist of three rounds, and each team will be given 6 minutes to complete the challenges. Participants must solve puzzles and find clues to escape from the room by completing all the rounds successfully. Teams will be evaluated based on how quickly they finish the tasks and escape the room. This event tests teamwork, problem-solving, and logical thinking skills.
BRAIN BRIDGE
TIME: 12:00 PM - 01:00 PM (Connection) is a team-based event where 2 members are allowed per team. The competition will have three rounds to test participants' logical thinking and connection skills. In the first round, teams will compete and the top 10 teams will be shortlisted for the second round. From the second round, only 5 teams will be selected for the final round. The final round will determine the winning team based on their ability to find connections and solve challenges effectively.
CINI SPARX
TIME: 02:00 PM - 03:00 PM (Short Film) is a creative event where teams of 2–3 members can present their own short film. The theme is open, allowing participants to showcase their creativity and storytelling skills. The video duration should not exceed 10 minutes. Films will be evaluated based on creativity, message, and presentation. However, the content must not include political concepts or anything that may hurt others' feelings.
